Back to banana pancakes

For the past seven months, Alex has had an insane schedule. He’s been working 16-hour shifts on the weekend on top of a full-time job during the week. For the past seven months, I’ve spent every weekend without him. I’ve traveled without him, gone to parties and dinners without him, made coffee in the morning without him. And it has, quite frankly, sucked.
But in two weeks, I get him back on the weekends! He’s taking an EMT course that meets three nights a week, and there’s no way he can hold down two jobs and go to school, so he finally quit his weekend job.

More than anything else, I look forward to sleeping in and then having banana pancakes for breakfast. It’s one of our favorite traditions, and I miss it.

I also plan on making him go to garage sales and flea markets with me. But he doesn’t know that yet. So please don’t tell him.

The above bags are for my friend’s special order. These were truly a collaborative effort, with both of our ideas merging into two very unique bags. I never would have thought to do applique skulls, but did they turn out awesome or what!? Then another friend of mine saw the bags and asked me to make the pink one for her sister! I love it!
I will soon have some exciting news about a new craft show. Details aren’t quite ready yet, but hopefully I’ll have some information to share with all of you very soon. Stay tuned!
By the way, while Tropical Storm Fay seems to be annoying every other part of Florida, it passed right by Tampa. Not so much as a drop of rain. We’re quite thankful.
