Paper goods and polka dots

I created a new set of gift cards and envelopes with matching gift tags.

Each card/envelope has a contrasting pattern on the inside and a matching gift tag. I cut and glued each piece by hand from sheets of thick, wedding-themed scrapbooking paper, so the set has a soft, dreamy, feminine feel to it. The finished cards/envelopes are 4″ x 3″, and the gift tags are 2.5″ x 4″.

I thought about hand-stamping each piece as well, but decided that there would just be too much going on and that it would take away from the paper’s intricate design. So instead, I played it up by cutting out each card, envelope or tag from specific parts of the paper to enhance the existing patterns.

These aren’t as small as my last set of gift cards, but they were still quite cathartic to make.
