This apron is bright to begin with, but photographing it in direct sunlight certainly doesn’t help. My goodness! Shield your eyes!
At first, I made the apron without the small red star. But the more I looked at it, the more it seemed like something was missing. I pulled Alex over for a fresh perspective, and he recommended adding a little more red.
Such a simple alteration, but it made a huge difference. And I’ve officially promoted Alex to lead art director of Fat Orange Cat. Won’t that look impressive on his resume!
I finished the apron off with binding made from a leftover stash of a gorgeous Japanese print. You can’t distinguish the beautiful Geisha girls on such a thin strip of binding, but the I think the color and now-abstract images work well with the design of the apron.
