Familiar

This was a surprising color combination for me.

I’ve had the peach gingham for a while, and I kept trying to work it into a project, but I could ever quite figure out how since peach is a rare color choice for me. I ended up trying it with the blue and green just to see if it would work, and I absolutely loved it.

I made two aprons in these fabrics as well, but I haven’t shot them yet.

I can’t quite place what this fabric combination reminds me of. Maybe a doll I had as a child. Something about it seems really comfortable and familiar.

Polka dots and gingham always remind me of being a kid, and so do those colors–doll clothes, paper dolls, my own clothes… All so pretty together.
