I promised for my 50th post that I would do a giveaway. And then I didn’t. I was a tease, and for that I’m sorry.

I promised for my 100th post that I would do a giveaway. And guess what? I didn’t.

I am so ashamed.

But today? Today, I was feeling generous and scrappy and pretty darn good about having lived to tell about my first craft show, and then I noticed….it’s my 150th post. What better reasons are there to do a fabulous fun-filled giveaway?!

(By the way, I’m not really feeling scrappy. I just like the word. It makes me laugh.)

And so, without further ado, I am finally and officially doing a REAL LIVE GIVEAWAY! I will award this lovely antelope tote to one person who comments on this post.

antelope tote

The 12″x12″ tote is made of fine-wale ivory corduroy and lined in Amy Butler. The antelope is appliqued with fusible web and outlined in a simple stitch. I made a similar one for myself several months ago, and I love it. I use it every day.

The rules: To enter this giveaway, leave a comment* on this post telling me what word makes you laugh and why. Make sure to include an email address or a blog URL so I can contact you if you win. I will take comments up until 11:59 p.m. (Eastern time), Sunday, June 8. I’ll pick a winner randomly and announce it on Monday, June 9.

If you’ve never left a comment on my blog before, now is your chance. Delurk! If you comment all the time, comment again! If I know you in real life and could save postage by physically handing you the bag Monday at work (you know who you are), comment away!

Good luck!

*One comment per person. Duplicates will be deleted. No purchase necessary. Cannot be combined with any other coupon or discount. Bankruptcies must be discharged.

My 2 year old makes me laugh daily. She is very animated and dramatic so the different faces she makes on a daily basis always leave me in fits of giggles.

The word “scrappy” always reminds me of Scrappy Doo, who I LOVED as a kid. But now that I’m older I’m finding out that most people really don’t like him. What the problem? Puppy Power is such a universal concept.

My word is “knitting.” I’m one of those people that dabbles in lots of different types of crafts. But no matter what I’m doing – from sewing to paper folding to cross-stitch – my husband refers to all of it as knitting. So when he asks me, “what’cha knitting today?” and I’m sitting at the sewing machine, I can’t help but laugh 🙂

My favorite word is Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis; its a factitious word alleged to mean ‘a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust causing inflammation in the lungs. Occurring chiefly as an instance of a very long word.
    So gimme the bag.

I love your work, but onto more pressing matters. What word makes me laugh, uuummmm that’s a hard one I like the word DIVINE.
I may not laugh but I do smile. It’s such a descriptive word to me.

i’m a little ashamed to admit this because it sound so lame, but the thing that makes me laugh most is my partner imitating me being grumpy. or happy. or laughing. he does a rather spot-on impression (he has a thing for them) and i don’t know why, but it just cracks me up.

    greetings from vienna!

Oh my, this is so gorgeous. It would make a great gift for my mom! (if I don’t keep it!) A word that makes me laugh, my son always said pisgetti instead of spaghetti. Has such great memories, every time I hear a child say it…giggles all over again! Congrats on 150! You don’t seem that old!

Congrats on 150! Not one word, but it cracks me up everytime my 2 year old tells me, “I hold you mama!” when he wants me to hold him. It cracks me up and fills my heart with joy!

For me, it’s the word moist. It’s weird to say and very descriptive. In college, my friends and I were having a conversation similar to the question your asking, and we probably had a few adult beverages while discussing it. At the time, moist was the winner and so every time I hear or say it, it brings me back to those good times. Congrats on the milestone!

Yeah! Giveaway giveaway giveaway. I am so pumped I wicked hope I win. My boyfriend sort of knows he is famous on my blog….but he hardly ever stops by to read it so he may not know about the last photo. hehe.

The word Mi-hee makes me laugh. Our niece calls our dog (whose name is Misty) Mi-hee. We were watching her once and she would not leave that dog alone. Mi-hee this Mi-hee that. When she left Adam and I started calling our dog Mi-hee. We joked that we would give each other 5 bucks to who ever told the next person who asked her name that it was Mi-hee.

We still haven’t told someone that her name is Mi-hee yet, but I call her Mi0hee all the time now. She even responds when I say Mi-hee.

STUPENDIOUS!! My five year old came home from kindergarten with this word…every time she says it she giggles (which makes me laugh) and says she like to say it because “it sounds like I am gonna say something bad!” LOL
    Have a blessed day!

I love reading your blog and seeing all the beautiful things you make. One word that makes me laugh is ‘sea mongrels’. My little brother and sisters got some ‘sea monkeys’ as a present and thought that they were called sea mongrels. It still makes me laugh.

Congratulations on 150 posts! The word “chunkerton” makes me laugh. It’s what I call my cat sometimes…she’s kind of chunky.

Arachibutyrophobia – and no, not because of how it sounds but what it means (it’s a toughie to pronounce). It means (and this always makes me laugh) a fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth!!

And now I get paranoid everytime I eat PNB that maybe, just maybe, I have that phobia. Crazy but funny.

Congrats on the big 150 posts!!
